Siruvapuri
Siruvapuri is a small village located about 40 km from Chennai in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu, India. It’s famous for the Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan, the son of Lord Shiva. Siruvapuri Murugan Temple is considered a prominent pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Murugan. According to legend, Lord Murugan is said to have appeared here to bless his followers. The temple is particularly significant as it is believed that the temple was built by the Chola kings.
Thiruthani
Thiruthani is a town located about 75 kilometers from Chennai, in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is famous for the Arupadai Veedu (six abodes of Lord Murugan) temple and is one of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Murugan. The Thiruthani Murugan Temple is one of the Arupadai Veedu temples, which are the six sacred shrines of Lord Murugan, each located in different parts of Tamil Nadu. Thiruthani is the third of these six abodes.
